Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) and JAMK University of Applied Sciences are jointly organising the 2nd International Week for Language Teachers on 18th–22nd May, 2015, in Jyväskylä and Tampere.

The main theme for the week is language teaching tomorrow – changing pedagogical needs in higher education, and it is supported by relevant subthemes, such as fostering collaborative learning in online and blended environments, utilising technology in teaching in pedagogically meaningful ways, and facilitation and entrepreneurship. The week is designed for university-level language teachers, and it will comprise interactive workshops and webinars focusing on creative and inspiring real-life cases, presentations by top-class keynote speakers, round-table discussions on current topics, and special programme arranged by students. Besides networking and meeting with colleagues around the world, the purpose of the week is both to share good practices as well as to jointly produce new, creative ideas for teaching, and hopefully launch new co-operation projects.
