Suomi Finland 100 programme

The VirtualViipuri website is a digital reconstruction of the town Viipuri as it was in September 1939 in Finland. The website is a unique collection of information on the history, attractions, architecture, and business life of the town. You can explore the history through virtual 3D models, videos, photographs, recordings and texts.

VirtualViipuri is a research, development and teaching project with the focus on applicable research. The practical implementation is being carried out by students of TAMK. The project started ten years ago and still continues with new steps of development. The basic contents have been translated into 13 languages.
