TAMK Summer School: Basics of Finnish has started

Students from around the world arrived this morning to Tampere University of Applied Sciences for Basics of Finnish course. Some of them are also staying for exchange or degree studies at TAMK. The intensive course includes lectures every day for two weeks and awards the students with credits. Teacher Ella Hakala from TAMK Language services is teaching this intensive fourth annual summer course for the first time.

Nearly all of the continents are represented at the course. There are students from Germany and UK, Kanada and Brazil, South Korea and India.

Along the Finnish lectures there is going to be many other activities to learn Finnish culture and get to know the city of Tampere. For example, Monday afternoon programme took the students for a field trip to Viikiinsaari.
