All About Me visualisation competition

The Population Register Centre, Ministry of Finance and Aalto University's Media Factory has organised a competition for full-time students in universities of applied sciences and general universities.

The goal of the competition was to design a visualisation of citizens' register data. The competition seeks new types of clear, lucid visual methods to present the data connected with individuals. The winning project will be used in the marketing of the upcoming citizen's service view, which is the new version of the Suomi.fi service, produced in the National Architecture for Digital Services.

All about me competition finalists have been selected:

The All About Me visualisation competition received a total of 22 entries before the deadline at 4 pm on 31 August 2015. The jury has selected the three following entries as the competition finalists:

"Roberto Danilo Aarnio" – Roberto Aarnio and Jesse Tielinen, Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
"Muita herätteitä" – Joonas Pesonen, University of Eastern Finland
"All Around Me" – (Joanne) Nian Hwei Wong, Tampere University of Applied Sciences

The selected finalists had all submitted very different proposals. The jury appreciated the finalists' fresh, light ideas, which all exhibited potential for further development with professionals.

From October to December 2015, the finalists will further develop their entries with appointed professionals, so that they are ready for public voting. In January, the finalists will be brought before the public, and a winner will be selected on the basis of voting. The winner will be presented with their award on 11 February 2016.
