What are you currently doing: looking for working opportunities in Sales, Business Development and Operations

How did you find out about TAMK and what made you choose it for your studies?

Well, I was seeking for universities in the Nordic countries for my studies abroad as the education system is on top level, as well as the leading one compared to other countries. After checking the partner universities of my home university I luckily found TAMK. Together with my lecturer we talked about the learning system and the offered programme at TAMK was the best for my needs which also suited my interests.

What did you like most about Tampere and Finland?

Tampere is such a nice, pretty and enjoyable city to live in. It's a mix of a big and a small city combined with all its advantages. No matter where you live in Tampere, you find a classy city life and a country life with all its woods surrounded by lots of lakes. It was also nice to have the opportunity to travel around Finland like to Estonia, Russia etc.

In what ways have your studies contributed to your professional and personal life?

My semester abroad at TAMK showed to my personal life how a typical student life is like by traveling and just studying. It showed me how to live in a foreign country with people from all around the world which I really enjoyed. At the end it was like "Bye bye, home! See you soon!". During my studies at TAMK I realized that foreign affairs are very important to me and to my further education so I decided to study Foreign Economics as a major at my home university and in addition to that I did my internship at the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Istanbul, Turkey combined with my studies.

How has TAMK supported your needs as a student?

TAMK supported my needs very well. After I received my acceptance to study at TAMK, I got information about the housing possibilities, what to consider before and after my arrival to Finland. Furthermore, I received a friendship request on Facebook plus an e-mail from my tutor whom I could ask anything. They were also providing us with sports facilities, meetings with all the exchange students to get to know each other better and to spend time in the city, and many more activities.

What would you say to anyone considering studying at TAMK?

To live and study in Tampere is awesome and you won't regret it. Just do it!
