How did you find out about TAMK and what made you choose it for your studies?

While searching about studying abroad, I first targeted English speaking countries like UK, USA etc. However, the cost of studying was a lot and after calculating the return of the investment, I personally thought it wasn't worth studying in those countries. I opened up my search and got to know Finnish education. At this time, not many Vietnamese students knew about studying in Finland. I found out a lot of information about different universities in Finland via the Vietnamese Student Association in Finland (VSAF). On their forum I learned more about each university and I saw that TAMK is one of the top universities of applied sciences with the highest entry score. That's why I chose TAMK at the very beginning.

What did you like most about Tampere and Finland?

Eating Munkki in the Pyynikin Näkötornin Kahvila and enjoying the view. Public sauna near the lakes. Cycling from the city center to Hervanta. Walking around the city and enjoying the views. Taking the bus to IKEA just to buy some ice cream. Finding nice things in the second hand shops. Buying fresh berries in the summer. I like everything about Tampere. I have traveled to almost every big cities in Finland, however I still like Tampere the most.

In what ways have your studies contributed to your professional and personal life?

I have learnt a lot about team work and problem solving at TAMK. TAMK gave me the opportunity to take an internship before graduating. After one year of my internship in Germany, I knew a lot about the professional life and it was an advantage for me when applying for my current working position.

How has TAMK supported your needs as a student?

TAMK provided all facilities, books and information for my studies. Teachers are nice and supportive. TAMK's Intranet contains a lot of information I could access. I'm totally satisfied with the quality of education at TAMK.

What would you say to anyone considering studying at TAMK?

Don't hesitate, just go for it and you will not regret it.
