International Branding Project is back

International Branding Project is back

Mrs. Kirsi Tanner and Mrs. Tuula Andersson, TAMK Marketing lecturers in BBA and IB programs, have proceeded successfully the integrated project for special Marketing course cooperating with some of TAMK partner universities, which the first time was carried out in 2013.

The project has not only enhanced the partnership among schools but also provided and laid the foundation of working in international environment for students.

After four years of cooperation in International Branding project with Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic), Stenden University of Applied Sciences and Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands), this time in turn, TAMK is going to become a host for the Kick-off international week, from February 6–9.

It will host 32 students from partner universities respectively, along with 6 teachers and 30 students from TAMK. The program includes many workshops, a bus excursion to Ideapark and video conferences for international students.

Two main pedagogical objectives in the project of 2017 are to learn about strategic branding with the special concentration in fashion brands from theory to practice, as well as learn to work in international teams with multicultural groups by using virtual tools. Together, its main goal is to create a brand strategy for a new brand in the fashion-clothing industry based on the "northern aspect" for the international markets (Finland, Czech Republic and the Netherlands).
