Joyous Christmas for all - monthly material exhibition in Main Campus library

Joyous Christmas for all - monthly material exhibition in Main Campus library

The gray, dark and wet November finally ends up giving room for a new, more colorful and, hopefully, winterlike months.

Christmas is full of traditions - ancient or new ones. Traditional Christmas elements include Christmas cards, Christmas decorations, Christmas carols, Christmas tree and flowers, candles and of course a Christmas calendar. The staff at TAMK Library share Christmas book tips this year as a Christmas Calendar in the TAMK blog (only in Finnish). We publish every day, in December, until the end of Christmas, a librarian's tip in the TAMK blog. Be sure to read a new book for Christmas from the morning blog post.

Of course, the finest Christmas traditions can be found on the delights of the Christmas table. (Tips for getting a Finnish dish can be found at https://www.ruokatieto.fi/). And what would Christmas be without Christmas gifts and a Christmas-decorated home? In addition, some people often suffer under Christmas a compulsive need to make large clearouts for the whole family to be recruited to carry carpets and to move furniture.

In December the monthly book exhibition from our collections is shows books which you may want to read as a variation in your course books during Christmas. There are so many books about cooking as well as general refurbishment, as well as a bit more entertaining reading. Come and see!

Be sure to enjoy the Christmas time and  calm down to spend the winter break in all the peace in candlelight with a good company.

Be sure to check Christmas and New Year's opening hours in library services from library homepage!

Peaceful Christmas for all from from the TAMK library staff!
