Popularity of TAMK’s English Degree Programmes Continues

The number of applicants to Tampere University of Applied Sciences increased slightly in comparison with the preceding year. TAMK’s most popular degree programme in the joint application to education conducted in English was the Degree Programme in Tourism. The national joint application to English degree programmes at universities of applied sciences ended on 14 February.
TAMK had 1163 primary applicants this year. The Degree Programme in Tourism was the most popular with 292 primary applicants (12.2 applicants/study place) followed by the Degree Programme in Media with 225 primary applicants (9.4 applicants/study place), Degree Programme in International Business with 367 primary applicants (8.0 applicants/study place), Degree Programme in Nursing with 123 primary applicants (6.8 applicants/study place) and Degree Programme in Environmental Engineering with 156 primary applicants (4.5 applicants/study place).
TAMK’s five English degree programmes had almost 2900 applicants. A total of 147 study places were offered to the educations starting in the autumn 2012. The joint application data are based on the current statistics of the Finnish National Board of Education.
The joint application to Finnish education and master’s degree programmes will begin on 5 March and end on 3 April. TAMK will also organise a separate application to the English Master’s Degree Programme in Information Technology.
