Student Discounts

Students are eligible for a number of discounts in Finland. In order to get the discount, you must have a valid Finnish student card from TAMK Students' Union (Tamko). A list of benefits (and other useful information!) can be found from the webpages of Tampere for Students association.

Canteens

Students are entitled to a discount in all university canteens. All TAMK students receive the discount from the meal by showing a valid Finnish student card or a lunch discount card. The discount cards are valid in all student canteens in Finland. Read more in Study Guide.

Tampere City Transport

With a certificate from TAMK or a Finnish student card, students can get a discount from the regular monthly ticket or pre-charged travel card. Read more in Study Guide.

Tampere City Public Transport

Railways and long-distance buses

With a valid Finnish student card, students get a 50 % discount on trains and long-distance buses for journeys of over 80 km. Read more in Study Guide.
