The TAMK BBA in International Business is an inspiring and multicultural learning environment where the students learn basic business skills and acquire attitudes essential for success in today’s international enterprise.
The first year of studies offers a broad perspective on business operations (e.g. accounting, marketing, organisation, logistics and communication).
The second year of studies brings a deeper insight into the functions of an internationalising company. At this stage, the students start to create their own career path by choosing a module of specialisation out of four options:
- The Management Consulting specialisation option concentrates on real consultative projects with external clients.
- The Supply Chain Management Module focuses on transportation and warehousing issues in connection with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- The Financial Management Module expands on business control, corporate finance, and management control systems.
- The Marketing Module explores the dynamic environment of marketing strategy and planning.
In the third year, students go abroad for a required semester (4-6 months) at one of TAMK's 60 partner universities worldwide. In addition, students spend a further 5 months abroad in a practical training placement. Ideally, the employer will also commission the Bachelor’s Thesis – a project requiring students to apply their knowledge to solving a specific problem for a company.
Employment opportunities
The programme prepares undergraduates for demanding jobs in the fields of e.g. sales, export, product management and customer relations. Our graduates also work as marketing or logistics coordinators, and as consultants or entrepreneurs. Even entry level managerial positions are within the reach of our most successful graduates.
